Goddess Werethekau Suckling Tutankhamun
Pendant of goddess Werethekau with plumed and horned head-dress and snake body, suckling a standing figure of King Tutankhamun. Made of heavy plate gold on two large suspension rings at back, just below head-dress. From the Tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62). Now in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo. JE 61952
“The cobra with woman’s head sometimes wears the low crown also associated with Isis, but on other occasions the Double Crown of Mut or the two plumes which link her with Renenutet, the harvest goddess, nurse and protectress of pharaohs. Tutankhamun’s gold example wearing feathers, horns and disc and depicted suckling the young king is actually named Weret-hekau (“Great Enchantress” or “Great of Magic”), unfortunately the epithet of more than one goddess, including Mut.” ― Amulets of Ancient Egypt, by Carol Andrews.
forget about touching grass, i need to touch THE SEA I NEED TO GO INTO THE WATER I NEED TO DIVE INTO THE SEA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol. Everyone in the notes freaking out like 'I live by the sea, don't jump in, it dangerous'.
Like, guys, guys, listen, you don't understand. They don't mean... They want to be... Listen, ok, I grew up on the sea, I've been through hurricanes on trawlers and gale force 9 storms crewing tallships. I've seen enormous waves absolutely destroy boats. I've been caught in riptides while scuba diving and felt the complete powerlessness of it. The sea will absolutely annihilate you, consume you, never give up your body, and not even notice.
I know the power of the sea better than most, however, I know exactly what they mean. Sometimes you see it churning with unfathomable power and all you want is to just get in the sea and have it absolutely fuckin blast you clean. Like sandblast your fuckin soul. Fuckin powerwash your bones clean. Ya know?
Can confirm, getting beat up by the ocean is a religious experience.
One of two full-size ancient Greek bronzes discovered in 1972 off the western coast of Calabria in southern Italy. The statue, cast circa 460-450 BC, stands 198 cm (78 in) tall. The lips and nipples are made of copper, the teeth are silver and the eyes formed from calcite. At one time this bronze warrior held a spear and shield, but they were never found. The figure may also have worn a wreath around his head. ( Photography by Luigi Spina. )
does anyone know if i can like block sites from appearing in my google images searches??? i keep getting those awful ai generated things with a hand coming out of a man's neck and just straight up not what i was looking for, because this was in a search for "curly hair in medieval paintings". it happens every time i search for anything vaguely art-reference-like and it's so fucking annoying and it clutters my search results so much. i don't wanna add specific commands to the query every time too, what i need is like a browser extension or something
okay i found one! it works! everyone come get your blacklist 👍👍👍
I made a list of as many ai sites i could find to block with ublacklist, just copy and paste them in ublacklist's options menu
